Standard Motiva Send Time AI operates best with a full 24 hours per day over 7 days. But that much time isn't always feasible. Product launches, expiring offers, regulatory notices, event reminders—sometimes you have one day to get the timing right.
Motiva's One Day Send Time AI is a specialized mode of Send Time AI that optimizes delivery within a single-day send window.
Configuration
You'll find the One Day STAI option within the Motiva Send Time AI step on the Eloqua campaign canvas.
Pull the step onto the canvas, double click the step to configure and click the pencil icon in the top right to load the Motiva configuration screen.
Once you select the email to send and you are configuring when the email should be sent, simply check "Use 1-day optimization."
You still have the same settings available as the standard STAI, but now they operate a little differently.
Any contacts that enter the STAI step on the campaign canvas will receive an email within 24 hours instead of 7 days.
Choosing an end date ensures contacts will receive an email within one calendar day. So if you launch an email at 12 noon, adding an end date will ensure all contacts are emailed by midnight. As always, if you apply an end date, make sure the segment step ahead of the STAI step is configured to release all contacts at the same time so the STAI doesn't receive multiple batches of contacts. STAI with an end date only processes the first batch of contacts it receives.
You can also choose to send during a specific window of time. If it's 8am and you know the email needs to complete sending by 5pm, then you can configure the email to send between 8am and 5pm.
Nurturing
You can use One Day STAI in a time sensitive nurture as well. Simply select "No" for an end date and your step will be always on until the end date of the campaign, meaning any new contact that drips into the email step will receive the email within 24 hours or within the time window you configure.
Reporting
One Day STAI has the same email report as a standard STAI step so you can review performance, gather insights and ensure deliverability. And you can see One Day STAI emails in the Performance report to compare against other, similar emails.
