Dark Pool has several out-of-the-box reports that extend Eloqua’s standard reporting and help you dig into the details of your contact database.

The Domain Analysis report analyzes and scores every domain you email, providing you with granular deliverability and engagement insights for every account so you can troubleshoot technical issues and target each account to improve business results.

Navigate to the Domain Analysis Report by clicking on “Dark Pool” in the main navigation at the top of the Motiva platform. Then, in the blue sub navigation menu, select “Domain Analysis.”

Here you’ll see a table containing every domain you emailed in the past 12 months.

Filtering

The primary filtering options allow you to narrow in on domains that are highly unresponsive, catch all domains or domains that are likely misspelled.

Catch All domains are configured to accept and forward all emails sent to any address within that domain, even if the specific email address doesn't exist. They appear healthy from a deliverability standpoint but are often low engaging.

You can also filter out the consumer emails on the right side by clicking the “B2B” toggle which will remove all of the major consumer email provider domains like Gmail, Yahoo and QQ. Or you can click the “B2C” toggle to see all the consumer domains.

We provide the following features for each account to help you focus your effort, diagnose any issues and prepare for targeting.

  • Domain: The domain itself with a hyperlink back to the website.

  • Score: We provide a Dark Pool Quality score for every domain that summarizes the deliverability and engagement health of every account.

  • Catch All: An “X” indicates the domain is a Catch All domain.

  • Sub-populations: Shows the Dark Pool Risk Rainbow and categorizations for the account and visualizes the overall health. Domains with a large portion of black, red and/or orange are performing poorly.

  • Unique Open Rate

  • Unique Click Rate

  • Total Contacts: The total contacts associated with the domain

  • Unresponsive Contacts: The number of contacts you emailed who are completely unresponsive over the past year.

  • Unresponsive Percent: The percentage of unresponsive contacts out of the total number of contacts associated with the domain.

  • Export Contacts: An option to export the contacts associated with the domain for targeting purposes.

You can further filter the table to see the domains and accounts with the highest or lowest number or percent of unresponsive contacts.

Exporting Contacts

You can export contacts associated with individual domains or export multiple selected domains. For example, if you identify the top 50 unresponsive domains, you can export them into a list and create a segment in Eloqua for targeting and to use with Persona Reporting.
